In this article we will see how to configure a transactional campaign triggered by events recorded in LeadSquared.

1. Setting up a transactional campaign in Mailmodo

How to create a transactional campaign in Mailmodo?

 Go to templates from the vertical menu on the left side. Click on 'Create new template'.

Either select a blank template or a pre made template

 to edit the template. Save and rename the template upon completion.  After saving, click on the back arrow.

You will be redirected to the template library. The saved template should be visible here.

Go to Trigger under Campaigns from the vertical menu on the left. Click on 

Select the template you saved before. Click on 

Add Subject line, Pre header Text, From Name and Reply to Email. Select sender email. Click on Next.

You will be redirected to trigger on events.

Review and test your campaign. To test, click on send test campaign->enter email ID->send test email.

Once tested and reviewed, click on enable campaign.

You would be able to see the Webhook URL. Click on Copy URL. We will use this Webhook URL in LeadSquared Lapp.

 Navigate to the Manage Lapps page in the Apps section of the main navigation panel.

 Enter a name and description for the Lapp.

 (write your code directly in the Lapps code editor).

Publish the Lapp to configure it with the workflow.

 After selecting an automation trigger, under the 

 field if you wish to pass additional data to the Lapp in the form of key-value pairs.

 if you want to save the Lapp response and use it to send emails with dynamic content.

Trigger Campaigns through Lead Squared on Mailmodo

Trigger Campaigns are transactional campaigns that can be triggered through different platforms in Mailmodo. You can connect Mailmodo's trigger campaigns for a lot of different use cases in your different platforms. 

Let's see how you can create a trigger campaign and get the details of setting up the connection. Follow the steps. 

 under Campaigns section in the left menu.

 like Campaign Name, Subject, Pre-header,  From Name and Reply to email.

 from which you want the emails to send. 

 to do the final review of the campaign. 

 to get the details to connect the campaign with the platform. 

 In this section, you have all the details to connect this campaign with your platform. Follow the steps in the below section and complete the connection.

Please don't use ${email} as personalization parameter in the template because the

 field is used outside the data block for triggering campaign. Instead, use other variable names like ${primary_email}

${sender_email}, etc. as personalization parameter value. 

Once the connection is established, the campaign would be triggered to the relevant contact recorded in the connected platform.

How to create a trigger campaign?

In this article, we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in the GetResponse journey via Zapier 

Create a transactional campaign in Mailmodo(

  Open your Zapier account and click on create Zap

If this is your first time connecting GetResponse with Zapier it will ask for an API Key which can be found on GetResponse website go to -> tools -> Integrations -> API.

  Now select the list of contacts in GetResponse that you want to send campaigns to.

Copy paste the API key we copied and saved before from Mailmodo.

 Select your Campaign you created previously on Mailmodo. Select the Email id field. ( Make sure that email field on your website/form/landing page is filled at least once before starting this process )

Trigger Campaign through GetResponse on Mailmodo

In this article, we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in the Webflow journey via Zapier.

Create a transactional campaign in Mailmodo (

 Open your Zapier account and click on create Zap.

Select your trigger event. Make sure the parameters are once submitted on your website before beginning the process.

 Select 'Authorize Application' to grant access to your website.

 Next, select your form, and click continue.

 Click test trigger, this will conduct a test and verify all details are correct.

 Next, select Mailmodo. You will be asked to sign-in. Here, you need to paste the API key that you copied from Mailmodo. 

You can access the API key anytime by going to the 'Integrations' tab in Mailmodo, and clicking on 'See details' under Zapier.

- Paste the API key in the box. Then click on 'Yes, Continue'.

 Select trigger campaign and connect your Mailmodo account.

 Next, select the campaign you want to trigger. Email-> Email id of your form, and the list to append details.  Make sure that the email field on your website is filled at least once before.

 Test and Continue and Click PUBLISH ZAP.

Trigger Campaigns through Webflow on Mailmodo

In this article, we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in the Typeform journey via Zapier.

 Click on test trigger to confirm if the right account is connected.

 Campaign Name -> Select your Mailmodo campaign you want to trigger.

Email -> Select your Email field, make sure your is once submitted before the process.

Append to Mailmodo List ->Select your Mailmodo List you want to append the details to.

 Click on test, and then publish your ZAP.

Trigger Campaigns through Typeform on Mailmodo

In this article, we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in the Jotform journey via Zapier.

 Open your Zapier account and click on create 

 to confirm if the right account is connected and click continue.

 Next, select Mailmodo. You will be asked to sign in. Here, you need to paste the API key that you copied from Mailmodo. 

Paste the API key in the box. Then click on '

 Campaign Name -> Select the Mailmodo campaign you want to trigger.

Email -> Select your Email field, make sure your form is once submitted before the process.

Trigger Campaigns through Jotform on Mailmodo

In this article, we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in the GetSiteControl journey via Zapier.

 Select Getsitecontrol and select your trigger event.

 Next, Connect your Getsitecontrol account and click continue.

 Next, select your site and the widget you are connecting to.

Next, Click on test trigger to confirm if the right account is connected and click continue.

 Next, select  Mailmodo. You will be asked to sign in. Here, you need to paste the API key that you copied from Mailmodo. 

 Select Trigger Campaign and press continue.

 Next, select your Mailmodo account you want to connect to.

Append to Mailmodo List -> Select your Mailmodo List you want to append the details to.

Trigger Campaigns through GetSiteControl on Mailmodo

In this article we will see how to send transactional campaigns in Mailmodo from your MoEngage account.

 Go to templates from the vertical menu on the left side. Click on create new template.

 Either select a blank template or a pre made Template Gallery 

 Use the editor to edit the template. Save and rename the template upon completion.  After saving, click on back

 You will be redirected to the home page. Click on Trigger under Campaigns from the vertical menu on the left. Next, click on Create trigger campaign. 

 Select the template you saved before. Click on next.

 Add Subject Line, Pre-header text, From name and Reply to email. Click on next.

 You will be redirected to trigger on events. Select MoEngage from the list of platforms. Click on next.

 Review and test your campaign. To test, click on send test campaign->enter email ID->send test email.

 You will be redirected to Trigger campaign section. Click on Copy URL button after selecting 

. We will use this webhook url in MoEngage.

To access this page in future, go to transactional in the vertical menu (left side)->select the campaign-> Show setup steps

In MoEngage Click Create New → Connector → Custom and select one-time, periodic, or event-triggered as per your requirement

Add Campaign Name and Tags and Select Audience as per your requirement and Click on Next.

Select POST under Method and from the Mailmodo Trigger Info section, copy and paste

The Headers from Mailmodo under Headers in MoEngage

In the Body Type, select Raw and Paste the body from the Mailmodo Trigger Info section.

If your Mailmodo template has personalization, then delete <Value for personalization parameter> in the MoEngage body, type @, and select the corresponding personalization attribute in MoEngage in the ensuing Connector Personalisation pop-up

Please choose fallback as per your requirement for when personlisation fails for the selected property in the above pop-up

For example, if your template has first_name then delete <Value for first_name>, type @, and select the First Name attribute in the ensuing pop-up. 

Body type in MoEngage after personalization mapping

Both email and moengage_id (customer_id) are mapped by default in the Mailmodo body. 

If you're storing email ID in any other attribute, delete the {{UserAttribute['Email']}} value, type @, and map it to that attribute.

In case you are manually mapping (instead of copying the body from Mailmodo campaign dashboard), map the moengage_id to the ID (a.k.a customer_id) attribute in MoEngage.

We need the moengage_id (known as ID or customer_id in MoEngage) of the email recipients mandatorily to push the campaign activity to MoEngage and hence it's configured in the body while setting up the MoEngage Transactional (Trigger) campaign. For more information, please refer to the 

Test the campaign using email ID and click on Next. 

and Publish the campaign after entering requisite details like schedule date and time, conversion goals, delivery controls, etc in the Schedule and Goals step.

That's it! You have successfully created a trigger campaign!

Trigger Campaigns through MoEngage in Mailmodo

In this article we will explain how you can send triggered campaigns in Mailmodo from your CleverTap account.

Step by step guide to connect Clevertap with your Campaign

 Create the template in the template section. 

Select the created template and click on 

 Add the relevant 'Subject', 'Pre-Header', 'From Name', 'Reply to Email', and select the 'Sender Email' to complete the details section. Click on

Now you can use this Webhook to trigger emails to be sent from Mailmodo in your CleverTap account.

An example on how you can add Webhook to your CleverTap Journeys

 Click on the Webhook block to open its settings. Choose the Webhook you just created under the ‘

Then copy the following code snippet into the Webhook payload and choose the format as JSON:

A user on CleverTap is identified by his identity. This identity can be an email, phone number or any other unique string. A help doc on the same can be found 

. You can pass any identity of your choice(email, phone number, etc.,) in the clevertap_id tag. When you create a profile using an identity and an email, the identity parameter gets saved under the CleverTap identity in your profile dashboard. If no identity is provided in a profile, the email becomes the default identity.

Trigger Campaigns through CleverTap on Mailmodo

In this article we will go through how you can send transactional campaigns in Mailmodo from your WebEngage account.

1. How to create a transactional campaign in Mailmodo

 You will be redirected to trigger on events. Select WebEngage from the list of platforms. Click on next.

. We will use this webhook url in WebEngage.

In WebEngage go to Journeys → + → Create new journey

Add a connector to this from the event, to call the action whenever the event is triggered.

In this article we will see how to configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in Freshmarketer journey.

How to create a Transactional Campaign on Mailmodo

 Either select a blank template or a pre-existing template 

  Use the editor to edit the template. Save and rename the template upon completion.  After saving, click on back arrow.

 You will be redirected to the home page. Click on Trigger under Campaigns from the vertical menu on the left. Next, click on Create trigger campaign.

 You will be redirected to trigger on events. Select Freshmarketer from the list of platforms. Click on next.

You will be redirected to Campaign page. Select

 -> Click on Copy URL button. We will use this webhook url in the Freshmarketer series.

To access this page in future, go to trigger in the vertical menu (left side)->select the campaign-> setup steps

 Click on marketing automation->Journeys

 Create desired journey. From the actions menu on the right side, select Webhooks. Drag and drop it in the journey builder area. Connect the respective actions and triggers with arrows. Click on Choose or Create a Webhook.

Name the Webhook. Select request type as POST. Paste the URL copied from Mailmodo's Trigger Info section.

 Select Add Custom Payload. Click on advanced. Paste this in the text field.

 Map the respective parameters by clicking on the plus button in the corner.

After mapping, your screen should look like this. Click on Test Webhook.

 Click on the Test Webhook button in the pop up. Upon successful testing, you should receive 200 status code.

Close the pop up. Click on Create Webhook. 

You have successfully created a trigger campaign!

Trigger campaigns through Freshmarketer in Mailmodo

In this article we will see how we can configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in Freshsales workflow.

How to set up a transactional campaign in Mailmodo

 Use the editor to edit the template. Save and rename the template upon completion.  After saving, click on back arrow.

 You will be redirected to trigger on events. Select Freshsales from the list of platforms. Click on next.

 -> Click on Copy URL button. We will use this webhook url in the Freshsales series.

 Name your workflow, describe it. Select a record type on which you wish to apply the workflow.

 Configure your workflow's execution triggers and conditions

Under what actions to be performed, click on add action. Select Trigger Webhook.

 After selecting Trigger Webhooks, webhook settings will open. Select request type as POST. Paste the URL copied from Mailmodo's Trigger Info section. Select encoding type as JSON.

 Select content type as Advanced. Paste this in the text field

 Map the respective elements by clicking on the insert placeholder button in the corner.

 A choose placeholder block will open. Map the respective user property. Click on save.

 After mapping your screen should look similar to this.  Click on Test your URL with current settings.

 Upon successful testing, click on cross. Save the webhook settings. Click on Save and Start.

Trigger campaigns through Freshsales in Mailmodo

In this article we will see how we can configure transactional campaigns in Mailmodo, triggered by events recorded in Intercom series.

How to set up transactional campaigns in Mailmodo

 Either select a blank template or a pre made template 

 You will be redirected to trigger on events. Select Intercom from the list of platforms. Click on next.

 -> Click on Copy URL button. We will use this webhook url in the Intercom series.

To access this page in future, go to trigger in the vertical menu (left side)->select the campaign->setup steps

A popup will open. Click on new series under Start from scratch.

Create desired series. Select webhook from the 

 section on the right side. Drag and drop it in the series builder area. Connect the respective Rules and Actions with arrows. Click on the webhook block.

A pop up will open. Select HTTP method as POST. Paste the webhook copied from Mailmodo's trigger info section. Default key-value pair under Webhook header should be Content-type (value) and application/json (value).

Click on Add a key value pair. Map the respective parameters as shown below.

Click on test. Your payload should look like this.   Search for a user whom you want to send a test email (the user should be added to your contact list). After selecting the test user, click on run test.
