It’s important to understand that the Click Map data and the campaign click data displayed on the dashboard can exhibit disparities that might appear puzzling at first glance. To illustrate this, let’s delve into a specific campaign as an example:

On the campaign dashboard, it is indicated that the campaign has accumulated a total of 269 unique clicks.

In contrast, the Click Map data reports only 125 unique clicks for the same campaign.

The divergence between these two sets of data can be attributed to several underlying factors that ought to be considered:

: The campaign dashboard click data encompasses not only conventional link (URL) clicks but also includes interactions with Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) elements like widgets and buttons. This means that when users engage with AMP elements such as forms or widgets within the campaign content, these interactions are counted within the dashboard’s click data. However, these AMP element clicks are excluded from the Click Map data, which exclusively records URL link clicks.

: Another contributing factor to the disparity is the dynamic nature of campaign templates. When a link is removed or modified within the template, the Click Map data is immediately updated to reflect these changes. Consequently, if a link is no longer present in the template, any click data associated with that particular link will cease to be visible in the Click Map data. However, this historical data will persist within the campaign dashboard, illustrating all clicks that occurred over the entire lifetime of the campaign.

In summary, the difference between Click Map data and campaign dashboard click data is a result of their distinct measurement methodologies. The dashboard captures a comprehensive range of interactions, including those with AMP elements, and retains historical data, while the Click Map data exclusively focuses on URL link clicks and represents only the most current version of the campaign template. Understanding these nuances is crucial for interpreting and utilizing both sets of data effectively in campaign analysis and optimization efforts.

Why Does Click Map Data Differ From Campaign Dashboard?

It is frustrating to know that the campaign you created is aborted and has not been sent to the selected contacts. 

We understand that, and that is why here's a list with reasons and actionable steps which would help to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. They could be just technical glitches or issues related to your email marketing practices. 

 Every Mailmodo user has a daily email sending limit based on their billing plan. You can check yours from the 

 and understand if the sending limit was exceeded when the campaign was aborted.

It means when your added Sender email address is not verified yet. You can check the status from the 

 page and complete the verification.

 Sending domain gets blocked due to high 

 for campaigns. Users get notified of the block in case the bounce rate increases up to 5% or more.

User canceled the campaign when in progress -

 While the campaign is being sent and the status is still in progress. We have an option on the dashboard to cancel the campaign. And as a user, if that is clicked, the campaign in progress gets aborted.

 

 There are cases when users use the platform for suspicious practices which do not fall in the purview of email marketing best practices and are harmful to the recipients. In those cases, the campaigns are aborted from sending.

When the system detects unusual sending activity as per the email marketing standards it warns the user and if the suggested improvements are not visible the campaigns get aborted.

 - When the added sender Id is not valid due to expired domain ownership or is a completely wrong sender Id, the campaign gets aborted. Also, if the sender Id is part of a campaign and at the same time it gets deleted from the settings page, the campaign would get aborted and it won't be sent.

 - There could be a case when the Mailmodo system is not able to authenticate the connected SMTP. With the due process of authentication, it can be resolved in your connected SMTP account.

Why is my campaign shown aborted?

Right now, Mailmodo doesn't provide ability to edit the schedule time for the future campaign. As a alternative, you can create a duplicate campaign with the updated time and cancel the original campaign.

Steps to change the time of your scheduled campaign

: Select the scheduled campaign whose time you want to change, click on 

: Review and add relevant campaign details and 

 so that you prevent sending the same campaign twice. 

Now, your campaign is all setup to be sent at it's new scheduled time.

AMP is only supported on Gmail, Yahoo (subjected to the region where you are in), Mail.ru and FairEmail. If you are viewing the email on any other email client like Apple mail or Outlook, then 

If the email recipient’s browser is outdated or they are using a browser which does not support AMP (like Gmail on Microsoft Edge and older version of Edge or Safari), content might not display correctly.

If the recipient has turned dynamic emails off in their email client, then AMP will not render.

If the AMP email exceeds 200kb, then AMP will not render. If your email exceeds the threshold, then you will see an error under 

 - AMP may not render in Google Workspace mailbox due to firewall setting enabled by IT admin.

You have used invalid content in the widgets or forms or using Gmail in basic mode. 

If your email client shows an invalid AMP message, then contact your customer success manager or reach out to us via the in-app chat to resolve the issue.

If you are testing AMP emails and your sender email has not received AMP approval, use Mailmodo's pre-approved default sender email.

Alternatively, you can manually enable dynamic emails for your sender id by navigating to settings>dynamic emails. Note that the email must be SPF, DKIM and DMARC authenticated.

Why Is Amp Not Rendering?

What is email clipping and how does it affect your campaign?

Ever sent an email only to find the recipient claiming they only received part of it? This can be frustrating, both for you and the recipient. Email clipping in Gmail occurs when 

the content of an email is partially hidden due to exceeding a size limit

, then Gmail will clip your email. This means that recipients only see a portion of the email, with the rest hidden behind a "View entire message" link. This can cause reduced engagement.

Keep your email content concise and relevant.

If you are sending out long read newsletters or you are unable to reduce the email size to less than 102kb, consider using read more links.

Gmail sometimes groups emails with identical subject lines into a single thread. This can happen with test emails or email sequences that use the same subject line for multiple messages. When these threads accumulate, the combined size can exceed the 102KB limit, causing Gmail to clip the content. Vary your subject line to avoid this.

When copy-pasting content from a website or software, you may add hidden formatting code to your email's code. To avoid this paste content as plain text or remove formatting and apply styling from Mailmodo's editor.

How to determine that your email size is more than 102kb?

If you are creating the email on Mailmodo's editor, 

 will alert you when your HTML email size exceeds 102kb. You will also be alerted if your AMP email 

Alternatively, you can also download the email on gmail by clicking on 3 dots menu>download message.

Once downloaded, check the file properties to view the email size
