In this guide we will learn how to disable Shopify notification emails like abandoned checkout emails after creating similar email flows in Mailmodo. This will help to prevent sending same type of emails to your audience via Shopify.

How to disable Abandoned check out email in Shopify?
- Log in to your Shopify admin.
- Click Settings ( lower left) → select Checkout.
In the Abandoned checkouts section, uncheck Automatically send abandoned checkout emails. Visit Shopify’s abandoned checkout documentation for more info.
How to disable Order confirmation email in Shopify?
Check with your Shopify Merchant Success Manager if you have a Shopify Plus account to disable order confirmation emails. If you are not a Shopify Plus customer you will not be able to turn off those emails.
In Shopify not every email can be turned off by a customer. See below for the details :
Emails which cannot be turned off by anyone irrespective of the plan :
1. Customer account activation
2. Customer password reset
3. Gift card notification
Emails which can be turned off by all customers irrespective of the plan
1. Abandoned checkout notifications
2. Shipping confirmations
3. Delivery updates, including local delivery
Emails which can be turned off only by Shopify plus customer
1. Customer account welcome
2. Order confirmation
3. Order cancelled
4. Order refund
5. Shipping update
