What is a User Referral Program?
A referral program is a way to reward your existing users when they bring in new users. This helps you grow your user base through word-of-mouth while giving your loyal users something in return.
Important definitions:
- Referrer: The existing user who invites a new user.
- New user: The person who joins through a referral link.

How it Works
- Get your referral link a. Open up the Referral details section.
You can do this by either opening the ‘Gift’ icon on the right of the dashboard or the ‘Refer and Earn’ button on the left panel.

b. Share it via email, social media, or other channels to invite new users. 3. Rewards for you & the new user
When the new user signs up and purchases a plan using your link, they receive 25% off on their plan for the first three months, along with complimentary onboarding.
You (the referrer) will earn 20% of the value of the plan purchased by each customer you refer for up to 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Who is eligible to participate in the Referral Program? All Mailmodo customers who have a paid subscription and have been using Mailmodo for at least 90 days as a paid customer. Who should you ideally refer to the program? (profile of new users) You can refer any business that might benefit from email marketing and automation or want to check out interactive emails. Ideally, you can connect us with the POC who runs the email program at such organizations. 2. Can you refer colleagues from your own company? No, you can’t refer your colleagues from your company. The people you refer will have to create a new account and pay for it in order for it to be eligible as your referral. 3. Is there a limit on how many individuals you can refer to the program? No, there’s no limit to the number of referrals you can bring. 4. Can you refer yourself using your own link? No, you can not use your referral link for yourself. 5. How is Mailmodo monitoring the quality of leads coming in? Mailmodo has an active sales and customer success team that connects with all signed-up users to understand their needs, provide onboarding support, and guide them towards making a purchase. 6. Do I need to do anything special to start referring? Nope! Simply navigate to the “Refer & Earn” button, copy your unique referral link, and begin sharing it.
About Payments
1. Who handles the discount for the new user’s contract? Our CS team will handle everything regarding the new user’s contract, including providing the discount. You can always reach out to us if you have any further questions; simply email dharmesh@mailmodo.com or jyothiikaa@mailmodo.com . 2. How do new users receive the discount? After the referred user signs up for our product, they’ll be approached by our sales team, who will help provide the new user with the referral discount. However, we’ll soon enable a coupon code that will be automatically applied as soon as users go to checkout. 3. Can the referral discount be stacked with other offers or promotions? No, referral discounts cannot be stacked with other offers or promotions. 4. When do I get the referrer rewards? We'll send you the reward about 2-3 business days after the referred user makes the payment in your preferred payment choice. 5. How long does the 20% reward last? For 12 months for each referral or until the referred customer churns, whichever happens first. 6. What if I refer more than one customer? The more you refer, the bigger the perks you unlock: 3 users → 1 free month.5 users → 30% off Pro or Max plans for 12 months.
