In order to test a Shopify Abandoned Cart Journey, you would first need to create the journey. Refer to this guide for help. 

Step 1: Click on the Integrations button on the sideboard. 

From the list of apps, click on ‘See Details’ for Shopify.

Step 2: Click on Test Journey under Abandoned Cart Campaign 

Step 3 - Enter the email id(s) in the space provided and click on Test Abandoned Cart Journey.

Step 4 - You will be redirected to your Shopify store. 

In your store, add a product to your cart. Begin the ordering process, then drop off the page. This is the cart abandonment event that will trigger your journey. 

After one minute, you will receive the triggered email with the abandoned cart template having the product added to your cart. The one minute is the default wait time in the test mode before you receive the abandoned cart email. 

Step 5 - If the journey is working satisfactorily, click on the publish this journey to set the journey live. 

The Journey Status will change to ‘Available’

Step 6 - If you wish to pause the journey just published and want to re-test, click on the 'Test Journey' button to change the status.

The Journey Status will change to ‘Testing’.

Step 7 - You can check the analytics, pause the journey and perform edits by navigating to the ‘Journey’ section in the Mailmodo dashboard.
