Cloudfare DNS behavior : Option to be selected while adding DNS records
Last updated June 21, 2024
Things to keep in my mind while adding the Mailmodo DNS records in Cloudfare DNS settings. Whenever we add new sender domain on Mailmodo, platform ask us to add the three records on DNS settings and verify, once the records are verified the sender ID will be ready to use. Even though you use correct steps and sender ID is not getting verified, there could be multiple reasons due to which the issue is occurring.
- There could be mistake in adding the DNS records, please check on MX toolbox to check if the records are added correctly.
- Multiple records are added in the DNS.
- Most common mistake we made while adding the DNS records is keeping "Proxy Status" as proxied. Whenever you will add a new DNS record in cloudfare, it asks for the proxy status of that records, please make sure you are selecting "DNS Only" and not "Proxied"
If any of the DNS records status is selected "proxied" the sender ID will not be verified on Mailmodo.
